Odds and Ends

Over the years there were many ways that Burroughs advertised the company to the marketplace. News papers and periodicals carried Burroughs advertisements frequently. Burroughs labeled items were often used and trade shows and with customers as give-aways. Products usually came clearly labeled with the Burroughs name and/or logo. And a practice somewhat unique to Burroughs were books that included real life customer stories.

In the slide show below, many of these items can be seen.

Selling service agreements provided an important source of cash flow to the company. This is a letter offering a special savings to customers if they used the special (and beautiful) postage-like stamp.

Burroughs had its own trucking system for a short time. Used to move product, demonstration units, and other materials.
