Case Keys - Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 Machines

Open the case on your Burroughs with a handcrafted key.  Works like the original Burroughs key, constructed from steel tubing.

The Burroughs Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 (all models) all had a keyhole near the serial number in the lower front of the machine. Operators needed a key on some models to replace the ribbon, but the key was generally used to service the machine.

The Burroughs Class 5 machines of early production also had a key, but it is a different size than the other models used. It is also located in the lower front of the machine, but not near the machine's serial number. The Class 5 keys are no longer available.
